From a South African Perspective

Veracity Markets is closed. In mid-2022 the FSCA directed Veracity Markets (Pty) Ltd to stop acting as an OTC derivative provider, close all client positions and pay out client funds, and the broker stopped trading.

The FSCA found that Veracity offered CFDs between May 2020 and April 2022 without the required OTC derivative provider licence. In April 2024 it was fined R10 million, its two directors were each fined R1 million and agreed to stay out of the financial services industry for four years, and the company withdrew its FSP licence application.

Do not send money to anyone using the Veracity Markets name. If you are still owed funds, contact the FSCA. For CFD trading, choose a broker that holds an FSCA ODP licence.
