TradingView
In this article
Today, TradingView is one of the most popular charting platforms available online.
TradingView delivers a smooth charting experience and offers a wide range of customisation options. However, charting software brokers are often clunky and difficult to use, limiting their ability to be customised and clunky.
ChartingView specialises in providing traders with a customised charting experience. In addition, TradingView is a social trading platform. As a result, a considerable variety of community-driven content is available to you, including discussions, trades, and more.
TradingView has a cost, but serious traders who want to improve should consider it an investment.
What is TradingView?
The TradingView platform lets you analyse financial assets, create charts, and customise technical indicators. An investor and trader social network with charting features is part of this platform Millions of traders use technical indicators every day.
Users can observe and review price charts of hundreds of assets, including cryptocurrencies, on TradingView charts and share and discuss ideas related to crypto trading. On volatile markets such as cryptocurrency, traders highly seek out the indicators that provide them with a high level of price predictability.
It is entirely browser-based, just like the C-Trade trading section, so you don’t have to download any software. For those who prefer a mobile experience, an app is also available for Android and iOS.
In what way does it work?
TradingView upholds its code of honour. They help investors and traders navigate chaotic market conditions. The TV helps them identify and take advantage of all the opportunities in the market.
All the information, data, analysis tools, etc., are available on the website. In addition, the homepage provides a wealth of information without requiring you to sign up.
A user can access free information on the homepage, such as currency pairs, Dow, NASDAQ, S&P 500 markets, trading ideas, and newest stories.
In addition to basic charting features, you also have access to the TradingView community when you sign up for a free account. A free account can also be upgraded to a paid one to enjoy more advanced features.
Pricing and account types
Account types in TradingView are Free, Pro, Pro+, and Premium.
Prices range from free to $59.95 per month.
Functionalities vary from level to level. With a yearly subscription, you get a 16% discount.
Since it offers no ads, two charts per layout, at least five indicators per chart, unlimited templates, and watchlists, I’ve tried and used Pro for a long time.
A few well-executed trades are enough to cover the yearly cost for my trading needs.
The TradingView account creation process
Creating a trading account is as easy as clicking “join for free” in the top right corner of this page. The instructions will guide you through the process. Congratulations! Your TradingView account has been created.
You can access the following features with a free account:
- Chart access.
- Each chart has three indicators.
- The layout of 1 chart has been saved.
- Template for one indicator.
- One enhanced watchlist.
- One indicator.
Using the free account means that you will occasionally see advertisements. A paid account will not display any ads – they can be annoying, but they aren’t too intrusive.
Using TradingView as your chart tool will likely require upgrading to a paid account if you plan on using TradingView for this guide.
I highly recommend using the free one-month trial if you are unsure about paying for TradingView. It will give you ample time to feel for the software since you will access all the tools.
Regardless of the trial length you selected, you will be charged after your trial. To cancel, go to your profile and select the billing tab. TradingView will show you all of your subscriptions here, along with how you can cancel them.

No installation is required for TradingView to run on PCs, Macs, Tablets, and Smartphones. TradingView covers nearly every stock market. The package includes Stocks, ETFs Futures, Foreign exchanges, and Bonds, with no extra charge, representing excellent value for money.
TradingViews’ cloud architecture eliminates the need for software downloads or installations, and all stock exchange data is stored on the vendor’s servers, which in turn are located in the cloud.
Only those charts you want to visualise are streamed to your client device from the cloud, so all charting and computing occur in the cloud.
Using cloud-based software will enable you to share ideas with other traders. Additionally, cloud-based platforms are simple to set up and cross-platform compatible.
How real-time is TradingView?
The TradingView Pro, Pro+, and Premium services provide real-time exchange data.
Exchanges usually charge Real-time data extra, but TradingView is among the least expensive in the industry at only $2/month per exchange compared to competitors who charge $10 to $15.

TradingView pulls data from 13 NYSE exchanges in the Americas, 9 NYSE exchanges in Europe, and 30 NYSE exchanges in Asia. Furthermore, TradingView provides coverage on all major cryptocurrency exchanges, foreign exchange markets, and commodity futures markets.
Is it possible to trade Bitcoin on TradingView?
Yes, theoretically, but only outside the United States. A CFD Broker can help you with this. I say theoretically because CFD (Contract for Difference) Brokers will not let you deposit bitcoins into your Bitcoin Wallet.
They will only allow you to open a virtual trade during which the selling price will be adjusted to reflect the current market price.
Buying gold ETFs is similar to buying physical gold.

Screener for TradingView stocks
It screened for 172 metrics, including 42 financial filters in real-time, making it the best stock screener for screening technical indicators. In addition, the stock screener from TradingViews includes a helpful technical buy and sell rating scan.
Through its connection to the Federal Reserve database, TradingView has access to many economic data.
Screening watchlists in TradingView have fundamental data segmented into five categories: Performance, Valuation, Dividends, Margin, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet.
The charting of economic indicators of TradingView stands out, for instance, the comparison of civilian unemployment with corporate profit growth.
Screening watchlists and filters can be set to refresh every minute if desired.
Bottom line
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced trader, TradingView is an excellent option for any trader looking for a free and competent solution that comes with dozens of useful tools. The educational materials are also available free of charge and cover all the basics of chart reading and technical analysis in detail.
For a beginner, TradingView is much simpler and cheaper than other platforms. Newcomers will benefit from the integrated social network but always take suggestions and advice from the social section with a grain of salt.
