About Oinvest broker

The company started its operations in 2018 as one of the leading online forex and CFD broker. Avonex Corporation Ltd, the company’s parent company, also operates the broker 2Invest. Although both of these brokers are relatively new and only have a few years of experience, neither has a longstanding reputation.

The Financial Services Authority of Seychelles is the primary regulator for the broker. Frequently, brokers use this jurisdiction as a haven against more stringent regulations like those imposed by CySEC or the FCA.

Forty-five currency pairs are available at OInvest, including several exotic and minor currencies. Additionally, 33 cryptocurrency CFDs are yet available. Aside from stocks, the broker is also offering CFDs on 17 commodities, 15 indices, and nearly 200 commodities.

With this broker, leverage varies depending on the asset, but the maximum leverage for forex is 1:500

Oinvest was established in Seychelles as a Forex broker in 2018. With three account types giving access to over 150 financial instruments.

Oinvest regulation

Oinvest is owned by Aaron Corporation LTD, supervised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the Republic of Seychelles.

There is no investor compensation fund available. This broker has not taken any steps to establish one (for example, joining the Financial Commission in Hong Kong).

Apart from enhancing client protection through the alternative steps, many reputable brokers opt for a business-friendly regulator to help outgrow their business. Regrettably, Oinvest opted not to implement this essential measure.

Oinvest products

Traders can choose from 47 currency pairs, 33 cryptocurrencies, and 17 commodities. Moreover, as Oinvest matures, it will likely expand its equity and index CFDs coverage, satisfactory for equity traders.

With 306 assets across five sectors, retail traders have some excellent choices, including the option of cryptocurrencies. This broker has sourced a unique asset mix to grow its market share.

Spreads

Oinvest does not charge commissions for trading, even though the spreads are higher than those of brokers of similar quality. As a result, they calculate potential profits effortlessly since only the spread needs to be considered.

The trading fee hence varies depending based on the account type, as well as the instrument.

Average Standard Account Spreads on Majors

  • EUR/USD: 1.3 pips
  • GBP/USD: 2.0 pips
  • USD/JPY: 1.5 pips
  • AUD/USD: 1.8 pips

Oinvest fees

Oinvest does not charge trading fees. This feature makes Oinvest a highly competitive broker, and it doesn’t charge hidden fees to traders, but it does charge them for inactivity. Brokers within the trading industry charge higher inactive fees than this broker. An inactive trader’s account must be paid a monthly inactivity fee of 80 euros after 61 days and 120 euros after 91 days of inactivity.

The trader needs to make at least one trade every month to avoid the inactivity fees. If that is not possible, the trader’s account can be closed immediately to avoid further inactivity fees.

Oinvest leverage

Leverage is the ability to take advantage of the market to gain more exposure than what is deposited by the trader. As a result, leveraged products can increase a trader’s potential profits, increasing their risk of loss.

A trader with US Dollars 1,000 in his trading account and a ticket size of 500,000 USD/JPY would have leverage equal to 500:1.

Oinvest offers a maximum leverage ratio of 1:400 to its clients

Oinvest account types

Depending on the level of experience of its clients, Oinvest offers three types of accounts:

Silver Account – This account is designed for beginners. Leverage ratios are up to 200:1, spreads start at 2 pips, and no minimum deposit is required.

Gold Account – This account type was designed for experienced traders. There are spreads of 1.3 pips starting at a minimum deposit of 250 USD, and there is a maximum leverage ratio of 400:1.

Platinum Account – This account type has been explicitly designed for experts. Traders can leverage up to 400:1, begin trading at 0.7 pips, and deposit as little as 250 USD. In addition, you will receive a 50 percent swap discount and a free VPS service with this account.

Oinvest trading platforms

The trading platforms offered by Invest are three in number. Traders can execute profitable trades through the trading platforms’ easy-to-use interface. You can search, chart, process orders, and many other things with it.

MetaTrader 4

Metatrader 4 is offered with this software; one can use the features and functions of the platform as well as trading manually, copying trades, and automating trades.

The Oinvest trading platform is a popular platform today, and it features a user interface that analyses market frameworks in detail. Furthermore, it allows users to explore the trading market in-depth and execute profitable trades.

Downloading and installing Metatrader 4 is necessary. Trades can be made on a PC, a laptop, or a tablet using the Oinvest software. Traders access several market indicators and trading signals through the software, which provides technical charts.

WebTrader

Trades can be conducted through the company’s web trader platform; the only requirement is that the trader has a stable internet connection.

According to our Oinvest review, its web-based trading platform can be accessed from any browser, and unlike Metatrader, it does not require any downloading. In addition, the trader can access technical chart tools and use automated trading to analyse various financial markets within the web traders’ platform.

Using this Oinvest has the significant advantage that the trader can execute trades with a single click, a unique feature for traders who need fast execution of trades.

Mobile app

The Oinvest mobile app is designed to make trading quick and straightforward and is available on Android and iOS devices. In addition to showcasing real-time quotes, the mobile app features technical indicators, charts, push notifications, and trade alerts.

Any mobile device, such as tablets or cell phones, can be used to install this app, which can be used when traveling or on the go by traders. Even though they are not in front of the system, they can still participate in the trades.

To execute trade strategies, traders can easily browse through various trading instruments, types of charts, and time frames of the mobile app.

A mobile app helps traders manage their trading accounts by immediately executing pending orders.

Oinvest payment methods

In keeping with the well-established pattern of not mentioning deposit and withdrawal methods, Oinvest fails to disclose them as well. However, V Pay, Skrill, Neteller, and credit/debit cards can also be found on the homepage.

A section for Withdrawal and Refund Policy is included here, which mentions bank wires and an excessive withdrawal processing time of seven business days, which is especially unnecessary for online payment processors.

If traders don’t place enough transactions before requesting a withdrawal, Oinvest reserves the right to charge a fee of €50; that is unacceptable.

With such a “right,” the ability of clients to make deposits is tied to their trading volume, putting them at risk for a loss, especially new traders. Market makers profit when their clients lose.

Withdrawals are limited to $100. At the discretion of Oinvest, withdrawal fees can be charged up to €50.

Oinvest demo account

It is possible to train on a free demo account at Oinvest. However, traders must use a demo account interface to learn to trade successfully, and Invest does offer this practice environment.

Education & research

Oinvest’s education section appears to be the best-developed for new traders. There are multiple educational tools available. Five videos on demand (VOD) categories are available in the library, each containing short but descriptive videos that serve as excellent learning starting points.

Eleven eBooks cover essential topics like psychology and risk management.

MT4 tutorials and courses are available in equal quantities, but one of them is a duplicate of an eBook. Online training webinars round out Oinvest’s educational offerings.

If the management team makes necessary adjustments and improvements, this broker can become a significantly better destination for new retail traders.
